BAMA Architecture and Design focuses on residential, commercial, and religious architecture, and is located in Portland, Oregon. Their approach to building design is based on five functions that uniquely challenge each project:

• The aesthetic and fiduciary goals of the developer or the owner define the project.
• An integration of the new structure into the present built environment must enhance the neighborhood without creating dissonance.
• The project will emerge with its own identity and creative intention.
• The project will intentionally limit its impact on the natural environment and will improve the present surrounding’s livability. 
• While addressing the structure's functional requirements, the building will provide for the anticipated needs of the end user.
